The Warehouse School of Music Presents:

BATTLE OF THE BANDS – Summer Camp

Battle Of The Bands is not your typical summer camp.  The focus this camp is to prepare students for being in a band.  Every camper will be placed in a band with 4 other campers, the very first day.  Throughout the week they will practice in Jam Sessions on stage to learn a popular song.

Between Jam Sessions campers will be learning what it takes to be in a band.  Songwriting is crucial to any musician.  Here they will learn from 3 accomplished musicians on ways to start and perfect their songwriting techniques.

During our Rockfest Sessions, campers will be learning everything from setting up for gigs, introductory keyboard and percussion, sound mixing and soundboard basics, and so much more.  There are games in every session that will award points to the bands.  At the end of the week, the band with the highest point total will be declared the winner of the Battle Of The Bands.  The winning band will get a special surprise at the end of the week.

There is a concert on the last day of the camp from 1pm-2pm.  All of the bands will play their songs  in a  large venue for family, friends, strangers, hard rockers, record label execs, music legends, industry moguls and much more (concert goers are subject to change … especially moguls, legends, execs and rockers).

PLEASE READ: The camps are for anyone between the ages of 9-14 years old.  The only prerequisite is that they need to have been playing their instrument for at least 1 year prior to the dates of the camp.  We will be helping campers hone their skills but will not be teaching them how to play.  While we support all instruments, this camp will only be for guitar, drums, vocals, keyboard/piano, and bass.  Each camp is capped at 30 students.  We are trying to reach an equal number of campers in all instruments so we ask that you be flexible on which session you choose.
